We have designed, maintained, hosted, and updated the Frederick County Public Library since 2016. The site was originally built in Drupal and has been updated a few times since. In 2024, we started a Drupal 10 upgrade and migration keeping the same look and feel. The FCPL site is still based on LibrarySite but with a custom responsive theme. The FCPL has a easy to use and maintain CMS system for their staff. The flexibility of the homepage design enables FCPL to accommodate new weekly content and announcements. In the newest version of their site, we simplified their menu structure making it easier for them to add pages to the menu structure, to add new categories in their main menu, and improved accessibility by getting rid of the mega menu in favor of a traditional dropdown menu. 

D10 Upgrade Included:

  • Migration of thousands of nodes/content from a legacy D7 site to current D10 site
     
  • Address field synchronized with google maps for custom book mobile feature
     
  • Custom editor workflow for adding scheduled board meetings, uploaded meeting agendas/notes and an archive of meeting minutes
     
  • The ability to conduct a site search and catalog search from within the same search field
     
  • The ability for content editors to easily customize the layout of pages per node

We continue to host and service their site and look forward to continuing to maintain and add new features in the future.
